You aren’t opposed to experiencing new things, but you still have a soft spot for your past and all it contains. You spend so much of your time and energy cultivating what you have and establishing a routine for yourself. When things change, it causes a difficult to stomach shift for you to adjust to- even if you know you must. Even if your present and your future offer you a happier and healthier mindset, you have a hard time releasing your past and letting it be.
You not only have a soft heart, but you have an excellent memory. You have held so much love and cherished so many memories throughout your life, that moving forward into your future can feel too soon. You enjoy reminiscing over your former friendships and relationships, and remember all the wonderful times you spent together. Sometimes it can seem as if things were better back then, especially if those people aren’t in your life anymore. If it was up to you, then you’d bring all of those relationships with you, and if you can’t, then you would prefer to dwell on what used to be.
When life hits you, it hits you hard. You may give off the vibe that you prefer to be alone, but when you do open yourself up, then you do so without restraint. You like things to go the way you want them to, and you work hard to ensure that is the case. Yet if you experience a failure, a breakup, or a setback, then your anger and resentment can keep you locked in your past, trying to maintain some sense of control. If you lose something close to your heart, even under the best of circumstances, you find your mind dwelling on those memories when you’re alone. You live in your past more than you care to admit.
No one underestimates your commitment to the present and the future, especially when it comes to pursuing your goals. You will always do what needs to be done, but you hold onto your past a bit tighter than you express. You are someone rooted in tradition, and you believe in taking the time to build something to be proud of. This often leads to you revisiting your past as you try to improve your future. Yet you tend to stay stuck on your past mistakes and fixate on what you can do better. You find yourself wishing you could go back and do things differently now that you know more than you used to- and you have a hard time letting go of how things could’ve been.
You hold so much emotion on your shoulders, and truth be told you wear it well. You love to experience new things, become connected to new people, and explore what the world has to offer you. Yet, as intensely as you may try to stay in the present, you have a tendency to comb through your past consistently. You feel like an old soul at times- torn between learning and embracing the future, yet reflecting on and analyzing the past. You have a clear memory of the things that have happened to you, and sometimes you wish you could go back and stay there for a while when things felt a bit easier. When things change in your life, and even when the future is full of promise, part of you will always be stuck in the way things were.
